After carefully reading over the bill, Governor Murphy had some additional recommendations–which we support, as do the bill’s sponsors–for how the panic alarms mandated by Alyssa’s Law will be funded and implemented. Today, he issued a conditional veto in order to send the bill back to the legislature for concurrence with his recommendations.
We appreciate all of the effort being put into making sure this law is enacted in a thoughtful, sensible way, and thank the sponsors for their continued support in moving it forward.
